Contingencies <br />001-199-513-99.91 <br />8,000 <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Wodtke that the Board <br />draft a resolution of concern as to the Congressional <br />District lines that have resulted in Indian River County <br />specifically having to allocate $8,000 to meet the require- <br />ments for this coming election, which will have a lasting <br />effect on the taxpayers; the Board would like to have some <br />consideration for remedy or reimbursement as soon as possible; <br />and that the Board is very unhappy with the splitting of <br />Indian River County as it does not follow any rhyme or <br />reason. <br />Commissioner Lyons seconded the Motion; and questioned <br />strongly why it was necessary to split a small county of <br />under 100,000 people at all. <br />Attorney Brandenburg stated he would work with Mrs. <br />Richey and draft a resolution. <br />Lengthy conversation took place, and it was determined <br />that this resolution should be sent to Washington and to <br />Tallahassee. <br />The Chairman called for the question. It was voted on <br />and carried unanimously. <br />
