Initially the Board
granted funds for the purchase and a two year maintenance contract
of five (5) hand-held units.
The Florida Highway Patrol again -approached the Board in March
of 1980 with a request for funds to purchase four (4) radar units
to serve the troopers stationed in Indian River County.
