JUL 131992 <br />50, 402 <br />Dan Hearndon, commented that he bought the subject <br />property with the intentions of going into business, which <br />will be a feed store and later, also sell western wear. <br />He was informed that he would not be allowed to expand to <br />western wear unless the property was zoned commercial. <br />He then advised that his next door neighbor, Harold Royal,. <br />who is zoned commercial and has a line of trailers, would like <br />to retain his commercial zoning. Mr. Hearndon's and Mr. Royal',s <br />acreage total about 10 acres. <br />Mr. Challacombe stated that there were two <br />alternatives: one would be to designate a node in that <br />area, which would be small. The second alternative would be <br />to leave it as is. Mr. Challacombe noted that the <br />surrounding areas are zoned agriculture, and if the business <br />would pertain to agriculture, then the use would be allowed. <br />He believed a feed store would be a permitted use, and <br />western wear would fall into that category. <br />Tom Jones stated that at a recent workshop, they were <br />told that nobody with a non -conforming lot size would be <br />denied as a residential designation. <br />Lengthy discussion ensued regarding both items, and it <br />was determined that more research would have to be done. <br />Attorney Brandenburg commented that they would bring <br />this matter back to the Board after more study is done. <br />ITEM #17 - Arthur & Mildred Dom - Request to designate Lots <br />1, 2, and 3 of Tropical Village Subdivision, <br />located on the south side of SR 512, just east of <br />the City of Fellsmere, as commercial land use. <br />Mr. Challacombe read the following letter from Arthur & <br />Mildred Dom: <br />
