would differ in that it is a lower density, lower traffic <br />area. <br />Chairman Scurlock agreed that with 36.08 acres of this <br />node already in use, there is not much left for future <br />growth and stated that while he would not consider a 40 acre <br />expansion, he might consider 10. <br />Discussion continued re the feeling that it is not <br />necessary to look very far in the future to see the <br />commercial development using up the remaining acreage. <br />Commissioner Fletcher asked the Attorney what a <br />property owner who is conceptually in the node but does not <br />have a definite plan calls his land. <br />Attorney Brandenburg replied that he calls it the <br />underlying zoning with the possible potential of being <br />included in the Hospital Commercial node. He noted that <br />anyone buying such property would probably buy it with an <br />option based on the owner presenting it to the Commission <br />for approval. <br />Commissioner Wodtke wished to offer an amendment to the <br />Motion on the floor, which was to leave the node as it <br />presently is. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wodtke, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Lyons, Commissioner Fletcher <br />voted in opposition, the Board by a 4 to 1 vote <br />agreed- to amend the Motion on the floor to in- <br />crease the Roseland Hospital/General Commercial <br />node by 20 acres. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION on the <br />original Motion as amended.
