Should a <br />Party fail to properly maintain a system an required, Ehe Direc�ar <br />snail give such party written notice of the nature of the <br />corrective action necessary. Should the party fail, within thirty <br />(30) days from the date of the notice to take, or commence taking, <br />corrective action to the satisfaction of the Director, the County <br />may enter upon lands, take corrective action and the cost of such <br />corrective action shall become a lien on the property benefited. <br />B. Flood Protection Management: <br />Duties of the Community Development Director: <br />The Community Development Director shall have <br />authority to administer this ordinance, and shall perform the <br />following specific duties: <br />(1) Determine any additional information that must be <br />submitted for flood management review. <br />(2) Review applications for compliance with the <br />standards of this ordinance after input from the Public Works <br />Director and the County Attorney as to those matters within ihEiir <br />professional disciplines; and either approve, approve with <br />conditions, or deny the application based on that review. If <br />application approval is denied, the Community Development Director <br />shall state the reasons; however, it is not the responsibility of <br />the Community Development Director to design an acceptable <br />development. <br />(3) Maintain a record of the actual, "as built" <br />elevation or flood -proofing of all buildings constructed after <br />flood management review. <br />(4) Coordinate the review with other permitting <br />agencies, if necessary. <br />(5) Notify adjacent communities, the St. John's River <br />Water Management District, and the State of Florida, Department of <br />Community Affairs prior to alteration or relocation of a <br />watercourse and provide a copy of such notification to the Federal <br />Insurance Administrator. <br />(6) Maintain a record of all variances, including <br />-25- <br />
