s <br />SECTION 1. PLANT CAPACITY FEE <br />For each new water connection and each new sewer connection, <br />a charge shall be assessed at the time of completion of the permit <br />to Department of Environmental Regulation, (DER). The applicable <br />fee is the one prevailing by Ordinance at the time of applying to <br />DER. The developer or builder must have paid to the County, a Plant <br />Capacity Fee for service through a standard 5/8 x 3/4 inch meter <br />as follows: <br />WATER OR SEWER: (IF APPLICATION IS FOR BOTH, FORMULA IS DOUBLE) <br />(1) The fee for a single-family residential lot shall be <br />$250.00 <br />(2) The fee for a multiple -dwelling residential lot shall <br />be an amount determined as follows: <br />(a) The number of efficiencies and one bedroom units <br />times $200.00 plus <br />(b) The number of two bedroom units times $225.00 plus <br />(c) The number of three bedroom or more units tines <br />$250.00 <br />The total of the above shall be the amount of the fee for that <br />multiple -dwelling lot. <br />(3) The fee for a business lot, or commercial service shall <br />be an amount in direct ratio to Paragraph (4) below <br />based upon use. The ratio for use shall be determined <br />by comparing the projected use of water and seder that <br />said business lot will use in relation to the amount <br />of water and sewer use of a single-family residence. <br />The Utilities Director shall determine said connection <br />fee. <br />(4) For any service (residential or commercial) requiring <br />larger than a 5/8 x 3/4 inch meter or for any charge <br />increasing the flow requirements, the fee will be a <br />multiple of the ERC (Equivalent Residential Connection <br />which term shall be abbreviated throughout this Ordinance) <br />shown in the following table for Q times $250.00. <br />Meter Flow Q <br />Meter Size Gallons/Minute (ERC) <br />5/8 x 3/4" 20 1 <br />1" 60 3 <br />1 1/2" 100 5 <br />2" 200 10 <br />3" Turbine 450 23 <br />Larger Meters Per Flow Requirements <br />Established by Developers <br />Engineer <br />The Utility Director shall use this criteria in calculating <br />a commercial or industrial connection charge: <br />(5) Water Meter size fot the proposed use should be determined <br />by the Design Engineer with approval by the Utilities <br />Director. Notwithstanding the foregoing meter size/ERC <br />table, where State or County Health Department attributes <br />a higher volume water use on certain commercial accounts <br />-2- <br />
