AUG 101992 <br />x <br />.50 <br />877 <br />that when the demand <br />is there, the neighborhood node <br />would <br />grow into a larger node that would be shown on the map; the <br />floorings node, for instance, is now at 10 acres, and he <br />believed this could be the same situation in time. <br />Attorney Cairns observed that the subject property has <br />been used for commercial purposes at various times over the <br />years, but he could not find anything in the Plan to address <br />this. <br />Attorney Brandenburg stated that if there is not a <br />current use at the time of adoption or.a site plan adopted, <br />it would not be allowed; it must be an on-going commercial <br />use. <br />Considerable discussion ensued as to the commercial <br />property already in this area and the proposed commercial <br />development, and as to leaving Ms. Wimbrow's property as it <br />is. It was noted that while there can be no guarantee at <br />this time, the prospects for this property remaining <br />commercial are good since, when it comes to rezoning in <br />conformance with the Land Use Plan, both staff and the Board <br />have indicated they would be in agreement with the <br />in -filling concept for a neighborhood node in this area and <br />with considering the need for a larger node as the demand <br />presents itself. <br />ITEM #3 - MARJORIE MATTSON (George Guccione, Agent) <br />Planning Manager Challacombe read the following letter <br />received from M&G BUilding: <br />4 <br />
