ON MOTION by Commissioner Fletcher, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Lyons, the Board unanimously <br />accepted the recommendation of the Attorney <br />as indicated in his memorandum dated <br />August 20, 1982, concerning notice of claims <br />at the Courthouse. <br />COURTHOUSE - GENERAL DISCUSSION <br />Chairman Scurlock related to the Board his discussion <br />with Judge Smith regarding the carpeting that was not removed <br />from his portion of the Courthouse. <br />Lengthy discussion followed along those lines. <br />Commissioner Bird noted that the Board had made a <br />decision to hire an environmental engineer and had asked the <br />judges to submit a name to them. <br />Lynn Williams, Acting General Services Director, <br />responded that there had been no name submitted to the County; <br />therefore, 'recommended Dr. Lee Husting from the University <br />of South Florida. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Lyons, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Bird, that the <br />Board approve. the engagement of <br />Dr. Lee Husting for the environmental <br />study, for an amount not to exceed $2,000. <br />Discussion followed concerning Dr. Husting's scope <br />of work. It was determined that it would be helpful if the <br />judges made their medical information available to Dr. Husting. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION.
