Monday, September 13, 1982 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River <br />County, Florida, met in Special Session at the County <br />Commission Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, <br />on Monday, September 13, 1982, at 7:00 o'clock P.M. Present <br />were Don C. Scurlock, Jr., Chairman; Alfred Grover Fletcher, <br />Vice Chairman; Dick Bird; Patrick B. Lyons; and William C. <br />Wodtke, Jr. Also present were Michael J. Wright, County <br />Administrator; Gary Brandenburg, Attorney to the Board of <br />County Commissioners; Jeffrey K. Barton, Finance Director; <br />and Virginia Hargreaves, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order, and Attorney <br />Brandenburg led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Chairman Scurlock explained the procedure that must be <br />followed in order to comply with the Statutes, as follows: <br />1) Announce the percentage by which the proposed millage <br />rate exceeds the rolled back rate. <br />2) Explain the purpose tax revenues are being increased. <br />3) Hear comments from the public. <br />4) Discuss and adopt millage prior to budgets. <br />5) Adopt budget. <br />The hour of 7:00 o'clock P.M. having passed, the Deputy <br />Clerk read the following Notices with Proofs of Publication <br />attached, to -wit: <br />S`P 1 1�00� <br />5 .
