reserving the right to use the Douglas School facility for <br />the next four years was removed since it would be too <br />expensive to renovate the building for school purposes, and <br />it was not felt there will be any need to get back into that <br />building for a short term. <br />Discussion continued at length in regard to the <br />advisability of accepting the Douglas School complex and <br />then leasing or quit claiming it to a non-profit entity in <br />the Wabasso community and also in regard to the large <br />responsibility this would place on the community. <br />Margaret Ingram, President of the West Wabasso <br />Progressive Civic League, came before the Board and reviewed <br />the following proposal for use of the Douglas School <br />facility. <br />September 24, 1982 <br />Dear County Commissioners: <br />The West Wabasso Progressive Civic.League, fully support the <br />Medical Health Center's proposal for partial use of the Doug-. <br />las facility. We feel that this program along with our pro- <br />posal for a community resource will be a great asset to this <br />community.
