SEP 2 21982 51 PA-UE'!i`39 <br />Chairman Scurlock announced that the same procedures <br />will be followed as at the hearing on the tentative budgets. <br />Finance Director Barton informed the Board that it is <br />necessary to go over the budget fund by fund, and each is a <br />separate hearing. <br />General Fund <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing on the General <br />Fund. <br />Finance Director Barton informed those present that the <br />General Fund is a countywide assessment. It is required to <br />announce the percentage of increase over rollback, and there <br />is none; it is at rollback. The proposed millage is <br />2.37728, and the budget for this fund is $8,719,586 - this <br />is for the goods and services that are available countywide <br />to all residents. <br />The Chairman asked if anyone present wished to be <br />heard. <br />Thomas Buchanan inquired about the $700,000 advertised <br />to be used for enhanced public services and was informed <br />that this relates to the Multipurpose Municipal Taxing Unit, <br />not the General Fund. <br />Mr. Buchanan'did'not wish to speak about the General <br />Fund, and no one else -wished to be heard. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Lyons, the Board unanimously <br />closed the public hearing. <br />MOTION was made by Commissioner Bird, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Lyons, to adopt <br />Resolution 82-90setting the millage for <br />the General Fund at 2.37728 for fiscal <br />year 1982-83. <br />8 <br />
