12/21/90(ORDI)Legal(TPO/sb) <br />iTr <br />^; <br />ORDINANCE 91-2 <br />N ORDINAN TVER COUNlY <br />PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF A <br />VOLUNTEER— SPECIAL—MASTER PURSUANT TO <br />CHAPTER 162, FLORIDA STATUTES, TO <br />CONDUCT CODE—ENFORCEMENT- ACTVI T I ES . <br />WHEREAS, Code E-n#o-r-cementBoaoard procedu-res <br />relufre Board action before an alleged violator is brought <br />before the Board; and <br />WHEREAS. this procedure may take up to two months <br />from the time the violation is noticed; and <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 162, Florida Statutes, allows for <br />the appointment of a special master; and <br />WHEREAS, the use of a special master especially <br />with respect to notices to appear will reduce the ti.me it <br />takes to bring an alleged violator to a hearing on the <br />alleged violation, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Board of <br />County Commissioners of�Fdian River County, that <br />SECT ON—r--AMENDMENT <br />ection 103 06 ofi-the —Code—Of--Ordinances of <br />Fnd+an-a"r-Goun-ty—i--_added- U -read a <br />Sect -140-t03-.-06 Code Enforcement special master <br />The- _Chairman of—the Code Enforcement Board shall also <br />be a special master as provided for under section <br />162.03, Florida Statutes. The special master shall <br />have all of the authority allowed under Chapter 162, <br />Florida Statutes. The primary duty of the special <br />master will be to issue notices to appear.
