SECTION 201.32 <br />WELLS AND LAWN SPRINKLER SYSTEMS <br />A. No cross connections between the County's water supply system <br />and any other water supply system shall be allowed. <br />B. All sprinkler systems using the County's water system as a source <br />shall have a backflow preventer so installed as to prevent back drainage from the <br />sprinkler system into the County water system. <br />C. All residential and commercial sprinkler systems shall be <br />inspected and approved by the County Building Department before initial operation. <br />D. All potable water wells shall be inspected by the County Health <br />Department upon payment of such fees as established by the County. Wells shall be <br />installed in accordance with state law, including the Florida Safe Water Drinking Act, <br />and shall meet the standards outlined in the appropriate Florida Department of <br />Environmental Regulation, Florida Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services, <br />or St. John's River Water Management District regulations. <br />SECTION 20133 <br />AREAS-INWHICH ORDINANCE TO BE EFFECTIVE <br />This ordinance shall be effective in the entire unincorporated area of <br />Indian River County and in those parts of municipalities in which the County is the <br />provider of water or wastewater utility services. <br />SECTION 201.34 <br />PENALTIES AND ENFORCEMENT <br />A. Penalties. Any person who shall violate or fail to comply with <br />any of the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine <br />not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500.00) or 6 months in jail or both.
