9/16/92(1Lega1)doc(Ob) <br />/ ORDINANCE 92- 37 <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY,—FLORIDA AAMENDING-0I-D-FIANCE—H-23 <br />WHICH ADOPTED A REVISED OCCUPATIONAL <br />LICENSE FEE FOR CERTAIN REAL ESTATE <br />PROFESSIONALS, <br />WHEREAS, Ordinance 92-23 imposed ' a license tax on "Real Estate <br />; and <br />WHEREAS, County staff has been directed to review in depth the <br />entire occupational license fee requirements; and <br />WHEREAS, the imposition of this tax on this new category of <br />persons prior to the study is not considered in the public interest and <br />is premature; and <br />WHEREAS, the effective date of said change to add real estate <br />agents is October 1, 1992; and <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary to delete this category immediately and <br />without normal pub hcnotice under the emergency prodision of Sion <br />125.66, F.S., to allow for the study of all license fees. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, that: <br />SECTION 1: EMERGENCY <br />There is currently under study an in depth review of occupational <br />license fees. The imposition of a license tax on a new category of <br />persons prior to this study is not in the public interest and is <br />Relief from this hardship may best be accomplished by the <br />immediate enactment of an emergency ordinance deleting the recently <br />added category of real estate agents. <br />SECTION 2. AMENDMENT. <br />Section 207.40(5) is amended by the deletion of the category <br />"Real Estate Agents". <br />SECTION 3.
