M <br />AGREEMENT <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County entered into a Lease Agreement with the Town of <br />Indian River Shores on the 28th of June, 1976, for the use of <br />Gifford Park, and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County now desires to make certain permanent improvements to <br />the recreational facilities located at the site and to do so <br />requests an extension of the lease. <br />follows; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the respective parties agree as <br />1. The third paragraph of the agreement between Indian <br />River County and the Town of Indian River Shores dated June 28, <br />1976, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by refer- <br />ence, is amended as follows; <br />"Unto the said Lessee for a term of twenty-six (26) <br />years beginning on the 15th day of June, 1976, at and for the sum <br />of One ($1.00) Dollar per year rental to be paid in advance, the <br />receipt of Eighteen ($18.00) Dollars upon the initial execution of <br />this lease being acknowledged and the receipt of Eight ($8.00) <br />Dollars upon the execution of this amendment being acknowledged, <br />provided, however, that in the event the City of Vero Beach sells <br />the electric utility power plant now owned by it, then upon such <br />sale being consummated, the term of this lease shall be changed to <br />a period of thirty (30) years from the beginning date hereof." <br />2. The remaining portions of the Lease Agreement shall <br />remain in full force and effect for the duration of the Lease. <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have through <br />their authorized agents set their hands and seals on the 6th <br />83 <br />0 CT 6 )902 so PACE f�;. <br />
