These <br />findings are necessary to plan future programs and <br />services. • <br />PHASk THREE: INVENTORY OF JAIL PROGRAMS <br />Existing jail programs and services will be inventoried and <br />analyzed. Information to be gathered will include: <br />- Security classification system and operational mechanism <br />- Mental health programs <br />- Medical services <br />- Drug rehabilitation programs <br />- Educational activities <br />- Vocational services <br />- Alcohol recovery activity <br />�. - Pretrial release mechanisms and -utilization and participation <br />levels <br />- Diagnostic and evaluation procedures and formats <br />- Complete inventory of community-based programs <br />- Diversionary programs available and utilized <br />Product: It is important to identify the various programs that are <br />now available in the Indian River County Jail to provide a <br />foundation for future programs and services. This task <br />will develop data necessary for determining future space <br />requirements for internal jail programs, e.g., individual <br />and group counseling. It will also provide a list of <br />*services that are available in the community that need not <br />be duplicated in the new facility. <br />PHASE FOUR: ANALYSIS OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE STATISTICAL INFORMATION <br />A variety of statistical data must be prepared.
