9/7/90 <br />The county shall transmit copies of any amendments of its <br />adopted comprehensive plan to the Department of Community <br />Affairs. <br />-2�--The county may initiate Comprehens-ive Plan -amendments pursuant <br />to Section 1631.3184 and 163.3187, F.S. (1989), as amended. <br />(3) The steps outlined in Section (3) through (11) below are the <br />procedural -requirements which are to be followed whe the <br />county receives a petition_to_amend the Land Use -Element -of <br />the Comprehensive Plan. <br />(a) The Community Development Department shall publish a <br />notice statingthat-the--Commun;+vel-opment-Department <br />is accepting petitions for amendments to the <br />Comprehensive Plan. This notice shall be advertised the <br />last weeks of December and June, and four (4) times <br />during the months of January and July or as otherwise <br />warranted by the Community Development Director's <br />determination. <br />(b) Applications to amend the Comprehensive Plan may be <br />submitted by the owner or owner's agent of property <br />proposed for amendment. The Community Development <br />Department shall initiate the evaluation of amendment <br />requests by reviewing each application for adequacy and <br />completeness. The application will not be considered <br />complete until the following items have been submitted: <br />1. tiotorized letter of authorization if applicant is <br />other than the owner; <br />2. Verified statement naming every individual having <br />legal or equitable ownership of the subject <br />property; <br />3. Warranty deed; <br />4. Title insurance or Attorney's opinion of title; <br />5. Sealed survey of property which also shows the <br />surrounding and adjacent land uses within 300' of <br />property. Proposed land use -requested by the comprehensive <br />Plan Land Use amendment: <br />7.
