WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS <br />CONTRACT PART III - REVERSE OSMOSIS <br />EQUIPMENT SUPPORT FACILITIES <br />SOUTH COUNTY WATER SYSTEM <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />ATTACHMENT TO CONTRACT_ CHANGE ORDER NO. 3 <br />The following items are revisions which are required to the Contract Documents <br />and to Gulf Constructors International, Inc.'s original contract, which have <br />resulted in the necessity of this Contract Change Order. <br />Item 1 <br />In order to accommodate the installation of the equipment furnished under <br />Contract Part II by Water Services of America, Inc., it is necessary to modify <br />the original electrical and instrumentation drawings of Gulf, Constructors <br />International, Inc.'s original contract. These modifications result in an <br />increase in the contract amount of $18,443.75. In addition, Gulf Constructors <br />International, Inc.'s electrical subcontractor has requested a,contract time <br />extension of 42 days. This request for a time extension is due to delays in <br />Florida Power And Light providing permanent power to the project site. <br />Item 2 <br />In order to properly install the fuel <br />necessary to make certain revisions to <br />revisions result in an increase in the <br />$5,000.00. <br />I tem 3 <br />tank for the emergency generator, it is. <br />the original Contract Documents. These <br />original contract amount not to exceed <br />In order to improve the on-site drainage of the South County Water Treatment <br />Plant site and to prevent on-site flooding, it is necessary to install a 12 <br />inch corrugated metal equalization pipe with type "E" inlets. This equaliza- <br />tion pipe would connect the retention pond located south of the Control <br />Building to the low, natural retention area located to the east of the Control <br />Building. This item has been discussed with Indian River County's Utilities <br />and Public Works Departments and both Departments are in agreement with the <br />necessity of the equalization pipe. <br />Item 4 <br />In order to properly cover the concrete ceilings of the electrical, mainte- <br />nance and chemical feed rooms, a second coat of Mobile 78 Series paint is <br />required. In addition, the painting of the exterior fluted walls of the <br />emergency generator building is required. <br />Item 5 <br />In order to ensure long life and compatibility of materials for the 93% <br />sulfuric acid chemical feed piping system, it is necessary to replace the <br />installed red rubber gaskets with viton gaskets from the sulfuric acid bulk <br />storage tank to the chemical feed pumps. <br />114 <br />
