The Chairman asked if there was any one present who <br />wished to be heard. <br />W. J. Lehr, Jr., Vista Royale, approached the Board and <br />"inquired if the County was taking over the water and sewer <br />plant at the same time. <br />Chairman Scurlock explained that the County did not <br />have a wastewater system; the sewer would be going to the <br />City of Vero Beach, and the water would be going to the <br />County. <br />Commissioner Lyons interjected that the City of Vero <br />Beach wholesales the water to the County. <br />George Liner, Utilities Manager, advised that there is <br />one meter per building and each building has four units. <br />Also, they, would be billed under -the standard County rates. <br />Mr. Pinto affirmed that as of October 25, 1982, they <br />would be receiving water under the County rates, and the <br />water would be supplied by the City of Vero Beach. <br />0 <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wodtke, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Lyons, the Board unanimously <br />agreed to close the public hearing. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Wodtke, that the Board adopt <br />Resolution 82-111 terminating the water franchise <br />granted to Sand Dollar Builders, Inc. for Tropic <br />Villas North, authorizing the franchise area to <br />4 <br />be incorporated into the County -wide system, and <br />the charging of County rates, and that the <br />Chairman be authorized to sign the document. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. It was <br />voted on and carried with a vote of 3 to 1, with <br />Commissioner Fletcher voting in opposition. <br />x 51 WE 691 <br />
