GENERAL <br />Sept i-en�fl�} Pu <br />The purpose of this article, pursuant to Section 205.033, <br />Florida Statutes (1985), is to increase the occupational <br />license tax rate for license taxes levied at a flat rate, by <br />one hundred (100) per cent for occupational licenses which <br />are one hundred dollars ($100.00) or less; fifty (50) <br />per centor�tionai lice axes wh ich are between <br />one hundred and one dollar ($101,00) and three hundred <br />dollars ($300.00); twenty-five (25) per cent for <br />occupational license taxes which are more that three hundred <br />dollars ; and for license taxes levied at graduated <br />or per uni-bra-t-s i}y twenty -f Iv"-251—per---ceM pe -r <br />graduated level or per unit, whichever is greater. <br />Section 207.02 <br />Occupational _license Trequired <br />No person shall engage in or manage any business, profession <br />or occupation in Indian River County for which an <br />occupational license tax is required by this chapter or <br />other law of the State of Florida or Indian River County <br />unless a county license shall have been procured from the <br />tax collector for Indian River County or from the department <br />of banking and finance, department of insurance, or <br />department of revenue, as provided by this chapter or other <br />law of this state. Such license shall be issued to person <br />upon receipt of the amount hereinafter provided, or as may <br />e otherwise provided y law.
