Finney7�-, REFERENCES: <br />Engineer Technician <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS - <br />Application has been sent to the Boating Improvement Trust <br />Program as the Board requested, for funding floating boat dock <br />at Blue Cypress Lake. The engineering design is complete, <br />the plans and specifications are attached. A joint application <br />for a permit to the DER and Corps of Engineers, has also been <br />sent. St. Johns Water Management District does not require <br />a permit per their letter of October 7, 1982. - <br />The estimated cost of construction is $3,654 including County <br />bulkhead work. Letters have been sent'for quotations to five <br />contractors. One quotation was received from Florida Marine <br />Contractors for $2,495 exclusive of the concrete bulkhead, to <br />be built by the County Road and Bridge Department. <br />After conversation with Gator Dock Co. factory representatives, <br />I feel that Florida Marine's quotation is reasonable. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />The following alternatives are considered: <br />Alternative No. 1 <br />County Road and Bridge Department to build the dock. <br />Alternative No. 2 <br />Florida,Marine Contractors be awarded contract to construct <br />the dock at a price of $2,495. <br />Alternative No. 3 <br />U <br />Deny the project. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Recommend awarding contract to Florida Marine Contractors <br />subject to DER/Corps of Engineers permit approval.
