RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING It is recommended by the Scenic Trails Committee and Public Works Director that the Engineering Department be authorized= to seek permits from the Regulatory Agencies for installing a 200 lineal foot test section of Armorflex (precast concrete erosion control product). At the same time,: =the Engineering Department be authorized to apply for permits to place clean fill (Rip Rap) along the River Bend area. There is no funding to be considered at this time except for permit application fees. Funding to be from budgeted'Engineering and Road and Bridge Department funds. Mr. Davis emphasized that they are not requesting funding:at this time, but they just wish permission to get the dredge and fill permits, which takes quite a while. Richard Van Slyke of Florida Land Company requested that the Board table this matter. He explained that Florida Land did not know this was on the agenda and would like their engineering staff to look through the material; they feel the alternatives recommended are not really acceptable a,iternatives for several reasons.
