P RO C LA,12AT I O N <br />WHEREAS, School Bus Safety Week will be observed <br />nationwide during the week of October 3-9, 1982; and <br />WHEREAS, the outstanding safety record of the school <br />bus drivers in transporting over 700,000 students daily <br />in Florida merits public commendation and recognition; and <br />WHEREAS, safe student transportation on school buses <br />has acquired.great'importance due to the increasingly <br />heavy traffic on our streets and highways throughout the <br />State; and <br />WHEREAS, School Bus Safety Week is an ideal time for <br />all citizens to dedicate themselves to promote safety on <br />our streets and highways by exercising caution and courtesy <br />in driving; and <br />WHEREAS, the Governor of the State of Florida has <br />prociaimed October 3-9, 1982 a -s School Bus Safety Week in <br />Florida; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Indian River County Board of <br />County Commissioners, do hereby proclaim October 3-9, 1982 <br />as <br />SCHOOL BUS SAFETY WEEK <br />in Indian River County, this 1st day of October, 1982. <br />Attest: <br />FREDA WRIGHT, C�,erk <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COINIUMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIM <br />BY <br />DON -C .
