# <br />He discussed the many problems the neighbors were <br />encountering with the public drinking and abuse at the <br />Wabasso Beach Park, and the overnight parking of campers <br />with their compressors going all night. The people who live <br />in the area feel intimidated by all of this unpleasantness, <br />and feel that a gate across the entrance was needed and <br />would appreciate if the Board would take some positive <br />action. <br />Julia Esposito, resident of Summerplace, came before <br />the Board and complained that her back yard was full of cans <br />and beer bottles from the parties that are held on Friday <br />and Saturday nights on the beach. She added that the <br />Sheriff's Department does not pay any attention to their <br />complaints about the disturbances. Mrs. Esposito also <br />mentioned that there was overnight parking right next to her <br />house. <br />Commissioner Bird stated that the next meeting of the <br />Parks & <br />Recreation Committee <br />would be on <br />Tuesday at 3:00 <br />P.M. and <br />he would be sure to <br />place this on <br />their agenda, and <br />invite the Sheriff's Department in order to make this a <br />combination effort. <br />Chairman Scurlock stated that the Board was very <br />concerned about the situation and was hopeful the combined <br />effort could arrive at a solution. <br />n <br />William Carnill, II, resident of Summerplace, reviewed <br />the following letter: <br />
