r <br />NOV 17 1982 5-.�� . <br />The Board discussed the amendment to the Motion <br />briefly. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION ON THE MOTION <br />AS AMENDED. It was voted on and carried with a <br />vote of 4 to 1, with Commissioner Wodtke voting in <br />opposition. <br />Mr. Lehman felt having a resolution that would be <br />well developed would be a very good compromise. He <br />commended the Board for its action. <br />Samuel E. Ledger, resident of Vero Beach, approached <br />the Board and informed them of his wife's serious lung <br />problems; he commented that sometimes politeness does not <br />work where smokers are involved. He stated that a <br />restaurant owner once told him that having a non-smoking <br />section was the best thing he ever did. Mr. Ledger noted <br />that the tobacco industry made it all sound so bad.
