PROCLAMATION <br />PROCLAMATION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, COMMENDING THE <br />DEDICATION OF THE INDIAN RIVER FLOAT COMMITTEE <br />WHEREAS, The INDIAN RIVER QUEENS PAGEANT is open to young <br />ladies residing in the Indian River County area, giving them an <br />opportunity to compete and to represent their respective <br />communities as INDIAN RIVER QUEENS; and <br />WHEREAS, for the second straight year, the INDIAN RIVER <br />QUEENS FLOAT was a winner in the annual ORANGE BLOSSOM CLASSIC <br />PARADE in Miami; and <br />WHEREAS, the 1982 INDIAN RIVER QUEENS FLOAT took second <br />place in the 50TH ANNUAL ORANGE BLOSSOM CLASSIC PARADE with a <br />float which saluted the Golden Anniversary of the parade; and <br />z- - WHEREAS, the INDIAN RIVER QUEENS FLOAT had the honor of <br />being the first unit in the four mile parade: and <br />WHEREAS, the' float was designed and built by. the INDIAN <br />RIVER FLOAT COMMITTEE, a non-profit community organization <br />comprised of several dedicated citizens, who represent various <br />churches and community groups; and <br />WHEREAS, with the dedication and support of the INDIAN <br />RIVER FLOAT COMMITTEE,.the INDIAN RIVER QUEENS PAGEANT is today a <br />popular and worthwhile project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, on behalf of <br />the residents of Indian River County, commends all the people <br />involved in the building and designing of the INDIAN RIVER QUEENS <br />FLOAT for their time and effort in representing their County in <br />such an outstanding fashion. <br />ATTEST: <br />FREDA WRIGHT, CLERK <br />APPROY4P�AS_ TO FORM AND <br />By <br />CHRls� PH4H J.
