,w <br />PROCLAMATION <br />PROCLAMATION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, IN RECOGNITION <br />OF THE FIRST ANNUAL TREASURE COAST CROWN JEWEL <br />MARCHING BAND FESTIVAL. <br />WHEREAS, on Saturday, December 4, 1982, fourteen of the <br />premier high school.marching bands from around the State of <br />Florida will converge upon Indian River County to exhibit their <br />musical and marching abilities to both the•public-and a panel of <br />judges; and , <br />WHEREAS, this is'the inaugural event in what is intended <br />to become the Annual Treasure Coast Crown Jewel Marching Band <br />Festival, an invitational tournament -originated and sponsored by <br />the Vero Beach High School Community Education Program and <br />Instrumental Music Department, with.tlie support of the Dodger <br />'c organization and other individuals and•groups around the <br />community; and " <br />WHEREAS,'the competing schools will meet in the Citrus <br />Bowl at Noon on December 4th for preliminary performances and <br />O <br />Y judging, with the top five bands meeting in the finals at <br />Dodgertown Saturday evening beginning at 7:30 P.M. to compete for <br />honors in each of three classes; Emerald, Ruby and Opal; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners on behalf of <br />the residents of Indian River County, extends a warm welcome to <br />these young 'and talented competitors and expresses our appreci- <br />ation for the entertainment and good times which are sure to <br />accompany this festive event. <br />ATTEST: <br />By <br />FREDA WRIGHT, Clerk <br />APPROVED..) <br />AND LE 2t/ <br />By <br />CH ISTR� <br />Assis gar <br />D E C 11982 <br />L_____- <br />JTO FORM <br />UFJF,;CIES : <br />HER Id.
