DEG15 128 ` <br />I <br />PROPOSAL RE SALE OF 19ATER & SUTER BANs <br />Administrator Wright informed the Board that the law <br />regarding tax free securities is due to change in two weeks. <br />Staff, therefore, feels we can get a better price on our <br />water and sewer bond anticipation notes if we get into the <br />market before December 30th, and is requesting that the <br />Board consider authorizing a special meeting on December <br />22nd or 23rd to consider a proposal by the underwriters. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously <br />a <br />authorized the Chairman to call a Special <br />Meeting regarding the Water & Sewer BANs as <br />requested by the Administrator. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Fletcher, SECONDED <br />'by Commissioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously <br />extended the meeting to 6:15 o'clock P.M. <br />BEACH ACQUISITION COM11ITTEE REPORT <br />Commissioner Bird reported that yesterday the Parks & <br />Recreation subcommittee on Beach Acquisition held their <br />first meeting, and Community Services Director Thomas <br />explained to them what we need to do to be considered in the <br />initial 50 million dollar funding. It was generally agreed <br />that it is important to try to be included in the initial <br />allocation of funds, which will go before the Cabinet on <br />January 11th, 1983, and the committee is recommending that <br />we attempt to purchase two parcels - one immediately <br />adjoining Wabasso Beach and the Walker tract just south of <br />Seagrove. It also was recommended that we would commit <br />ourselves to pay up to 50a of the amount of money required <br />to purchase these lands. Commissioner Bird continued that <br />there still are a lot of questions that need to be asked of <br />129 <br />
