.DEC 15 1982 <br />The Board reviewed the following memorandum from Public <br />Works Director Davis: <br />TO: The Honorable Members of the DATE: November 29, 1982 <br />Board of County Commissioners <br />THRU: Michael Wright, County Administrator <br />FILE: <br />SUBJECT: Public Hearing to Consider Resolution <br />Providing for the Paving of Portions <br />of 15th Avenue, 16th Avenue, 17th <br />Avenue, 47th Avenue and 48th Avenue <br />to Consider Preliminary Assessment <br />Rolls <br />FROM: James W. Davis, P.E5JY REFERENCES: <br />Public Works Director <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION <br />Valid petitions have been received from at least 66.7% of the property owners <br />of the following streets It <br />1) 15th Avenue between 2nd and 4th Street (Preliminary cost $27,053.00) <br />79% property owners. <br />2) 16th Avenue between 1st St. SW and 2nd Street (Preliminary Cost <br />$27,053.00), 67% property owners <br />3) 17th Avenue between 2nd and 4th Street (Preliminary Cost $27,053.00) <br />72% property owners <br />4) 47th Avenue between 8th Street and 9th Place (Preliminary Cost <br />$20,483.00) 70% property owners <br />5) 48th Avenue between 8th Street and 10th Street(Preliminary Cost <br />$28-,804.00) 68% property owners - <br />Preliminary assessment rolls have been prepared for the paving and drainage <br />improvements. The total costs of all -projects is approximately $130,446. <br />There is approximately $137,463 now set aside in FY 82-83 budget for <br />Petition Paving Account No. 703-214-541-35.39. <br />Also, advertisement of the Public Hearing and notification to the Property <br />Owners have been performed. <br />RECO MMATIONS AND FUNDING <br />After consideration of the public input provided at the Public Hear?ng, it <br />is recommended that motions be made to: <br />1) Adopt resolution, providing for the paving and drainage improvements <br />for each petition paving project, subject to the terns outlined in the <br />Resolutions. <br />2) Approve preliminary assessment rolls including any changes made as a <br />result of the Public Hearblg. <br />3) Allocate $130,446.00 from the Petition Paving account to fund this work. <br />4) The Road and Bridge Department be notified to begin construction, <br />
