Mr. Pinto discussed the system at Ixora Utilities, <br />which had been up -graded, and the customers would be <br />receiving improved service. <br />Commissioner Bird inquired when this system would be <br />put into the County's system. <br />Mr. Pinto felt that within 45 days, the County would <br />have water to Ixora. He also explained about the sewer <br />plant which should be completed in about a year. <br />Brief discussion followed. <br />The Chairman asked if there was anyone present who <br />wished to be heard. There were none. <br />- ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Fletcher, the Board unanimously <br />agreed to close the public hearing. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Wodtke, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Bird, that the Board <br />adopt Resolution 82-137 terminating the Ixora <br />Utilities Water & Sewer Franchise, incorporating <br />the system into the County system, and <br />authorizing the County rates. <br />Mr. Pinto reiterated that the entire service was <br />greatly improved, and the amount of complaints have been <br />reduced. He added that there are approximately 273 <br />customers on the Ixora system, and the lines there are about <br />20 years old. <br />Discussion followed about notifying the residents that <br />there would be some discoloration of their water when the <br />major flushing of the lines would occur. <br />Administrator Wright advised that the Ixora system was <br />billed on December 14th at the old rate; therefore, the next <br />billing would be on the new rate. <br />E 15 1902 52 94t7K 2 FA -LIE 366 <br />
