JAN 51983 52 476,'' <br />like to see it continue under the same guidance for another <br />year. <br />Attorney Brandenburg asked if there were any further <br />nominations. <br />Commissioner Wodtke discussed rotation of the <br />Chairmanship between all members of the Commission and <br />nominated Mr. Bird. <br />Attorney Brandenburg determined that there were no <br />further nominations and then asked for a Roll Call vote as <br />follows: <br />Commissioner Bird - Bird <br />Commissioner Fletcher - Bird <br />Commissioner Lyons - Scurlock <br />Commissioner Scurlock - Bird <br />Commissioner Wodtke - Bird <br />Attorney Brandenburg acting as Chairman declared Mr. <br />Bird the new Chairman. <br />Commissioner Fletcher explained that he had voted for <br />Mr. Bird because this is a very diverse county and he felt <br />the people in the county are entitled to have the chairman- <br />ship shared by each.member of this Board. He believed that <br />Mr. Scurlock has done an excellent job as Chairman. <br />Commissioner Wodtke concurred that Mr. Scurlock has <br />done a very good job during the past year. <br />Attorney Brandenburg opened the nominations for the <br />Vice Chairmanship. <br />Commissioner Fletcher nominated Commissioner Scurlock. <br />There were no further nominations, and Attorney <br />Brandenburg declared Commissioner Scurlock Vice Chairman by <br />acclamation. <br />Chairman Bird took over the gavel from the Attorney and <br />thanked everyone for their expression of confidence. He <br />congratulated former Chairman Scurlock on a job well done. <br />2 <br />
