F <br />Commissioner Wodtke also felt the vehicles should be a <br />certain color, but that we should determine the prices on the <br />various options. <br />After further discussion, Commissioner Fletcher agreed to <br />reword his Motion to specify a specific color in the baste bids, <br />but to let the manufacturer supply whatever color is available <br />and up to departmental standards. <br />The Administrator believed the majority of the vehicles will <br />be ordered and the color, therefore, would make no difference in <br />the price.. <br />Chairman Bird asked for clarification of the Motion on the <br />floor, and Commissioner Fletcher restated the Motion as follows: <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Fletcher, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously <br />directed the Purchasing Department on future <br />bid proposal forms when we specify paint color <br />to use the words "available manufacturer's color" <br />and request an optional bid on the standard <br />County department color. <br />Additional discussion followed regarding color, with <br />Commissioner Fletcher asking if the Board was agreeable to brown <br />as the County color, and Chairman Bird felt it would be brown for <br />the Road & Bridge vehicles and green for the Parks Department. <br />Mr. Van Auken again emphasized that the repainting is an <br />attritional process. <br />BID # 155 - 1983 3/4 TON CAB &CHASSIS <br />The Board reviewed staff recommendation as follows: <br />43 <br />4K 2 PAv 613 <br />1 <br />
