rJAN 19 1983 <br />ON MOTION BY Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Fletcher, the Board unanimously <br />awarded Bid.#161 to Florida Level and Transit <br />Co. for the Electronic Distance Measuring <br />Device in the amount of $4,410 and approved the <br />necessary line transfer as set out in.the above <br />memo. <br />APPROVE EXPENSES FOR WORK DONE BY UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA STUDENT <br />Administrator Wright explained that last year we worked <br />cooperatively with the University at Gainesville to get a student <br />to do a conceptual plan for Round Island Park with the <br />understanding that we would reimburse the student for any direct <br />expenses incurred. Kim Moyer of the University of Florida <br />developed a Master Plan for the development of Round Island Park <br />and was paid accordingly. This year we again worked cooperatively <br />with the University, and student Ken Ferrington developed a <br />conceptual plan for Kiwanis-Hobart Park. His direct expenses <br />amounted to $453. This is budgeted in the Planning Department <br />under funds for contractual and outside services. Board approval <br />is required in order to reimburse Mr. Ferrington since we do not <br />have a contract with him. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Lyons, the Board unanimously <br />authorized the Finance Department to reimburse <br />Ken Ferrington in the amount of $453.00 for <br />expenses as explained above. <br />RESOLUTION IN REGARD TO LIMITING HUTCHINSON ISLAND STUDY <br />Attorney Brandenburg noted that when the Commission <br />appointed members to the Committee established by the Governor to <br />54 <br />
