Short title; statutory authority; applicability. <br />(1) This chapter shall be known and may be cited as the Indian River County Law Enforcement Impact <br />Fee Ordinance. <br />(2) This chapter shall apply to only the unincorporated areas of Indian River County. <br />(Ord- No. 2005-015, 5-17-05) <br />Section 1005.02. Findings. <br />In addition to those findings and determinations found in Chapter 1000, the board of county <br />commissioners makes the following findings and determinations: <br />(1) Existing law enforcement is not sufficient to accommodate anticipated new development without <br />decreasing the existing levels of service. <br />(2) For impact fee calculation purposes, tThe law enforcement facilities level of service standard for <br />the county is 2 * 09 affiners per one thousand (1,000) permanent plus weighted peak 6easGna4 <br />$274 per functional resident for additional capital assets. <br />(3) Generally, a€xisting revenue sources are not sufficient to fund capital improvements necessary <br />to accommodate new development. <br />,Ord.
