D. Consideration of Dr. Leonard Walker as Medical Examiner <br />for the Nineteenth Circuit <br />The Board reviewed a letter from Robert E. Stone, State <br />Attorney submitting the name of Dr. Leonard Walker for <br />consideration as Medical Examiner for the Nineteenth <br />Circuit. <br />Discussion was held on the procedures followed in <br />appointing a medical examiner. Commissioner Scurlock stated <br />he had served on the committee involved in the medical <br />examiner appointment. He added that Dr. Walker's was the <br />only name submitted, and that he was from Ft. Pierce. <br />Commissioner Scurlock felt -it was unfortunate that no one <br />from Indian River County was being considered. <br />After agreeing that the Board did not have sufficient <br />information about Dr. Walker at this time, Chairman Bird <br />deferred this matter until later in the day. <br />PROCLAMATION - ERNESTINE PARR <br />Chairman Bird presented to the Board a Proclamation <br />honoring Ernestine Park on her retirement. <br />FE > 6 11983 1 <br />ON MOTION MADE by Commissioner Lyons, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Scurlock, the <br />Board unanimously approved the proclamation <br />honoring Ernestine Park, which is hereby <br />made a part of the record, as follows: <br />
