r FEB 16 1933 52 <br />and went over item by item each request for deletion as the <br />Commissioners followed in their copies of the code book. <br />ON MOTION MADE by Commissioner Scurlock, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Lyons, the Board <br />unanimously authorized the County Attorney <br />to advertise a Public Hearing re adoption <br />of an Ordinance to repeal the Special Acts, <br />etc., as recommended by the County Attorney. <br />SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT - WORKER'S COMPENSATION <br />GOODMAN VS INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />Attorney Brandenburg submitted the report on Herbert <br />Goodman vs. Indian River County as a discussion item only, <br />and recommended that no action be taken as that will allow <br />settlement to go through. He explained the idea here was to <br />terminate all County responsibilities for any past injury or <br />disability and past wage loss, plus future wage loss, , <br />leaving open only the issue of future medical treatment. He <br />stated that a $5,000 settlement is in the best interests of <br />the County. <br />The Board concurred with the Attorney's recommendation. <br />REPORT ON ACTIONS OF THE LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION <br />Attorney Brandenburg reported on the actions of the <br />Legislative Delegation held 2/8/82, and requested that the <br />Board authorize action as set out in the following memos <br />32 <br />
