TO 14HOM IT MAY CONCERN: <br />Re: On site inspection <br />Highland Motel <br />(Building & Swimming Pool) <br />Parcel #17-31-39-000-3000-014.0 <br />January 31, 1983 <br />An inspection was conducted on the above referenced property on Friday, <br />January 28, 1983. <br />These buildings have suffered further damage and severe deterioration <br />since notification dated 1012/79 and subsequent notifications. <br />All buildings and structures are unsafe, unsanitary, not provided with <br />adequate egress, constitute a fire -hazard, and constitute a hazard to <br />safety and health by reason of inadequate maintenance, dilapidation, <br />obsolescence, and abandonment. <br />BUILDING INSPECTION SURVEY <br />1) Swimming Pool area is overgrown with weeds. Stagnant water <br />visible. Roof is missing on the pool equipment room. Electrical <br />equipment and pool equipment is a total loss - damaged beyond <br />repair. <br />2) Large freestanding sign is leaning, showing signs of deterioration. <br />3) North building; (Building #l) <br />a) Plumbing is 100% destroyed. <br />b) All windows broken. <br />c) Walls full of holes. <br />d) Exterior doors missing <br />e) Holes in ceiling plaster falling. <br />f) Roof rafters are deteriorated. <br />g) piles of rotten lumber stacked around building <br />h) Electrical is 100% destroyed. <br />4) Center building (Building #2) <br />a) Roof is completely deteriorated in the center portion. <br />b) All -glass broken. <br />c) Interior wall board deteriorated beyond repair. <br />d) Evidence of fire damage - roof members charred. <br />5) South Building. (Building #3) <br />a) Covered Walkway - Beam is deteriorated. Structurally un- <br />sound - Pulling away from main structure. In danger of <br />collapse in the immediate future. <br />b) Exterior block wall parallel to U.S. #1 is completely <br />demolished. <br />c) Concrete beam - structurally deteriorated. <br />d) Roof deteriorated beyond repair. <br />e) Windows broken. <br />f) No exterior doors. <br />g) Plumbing 100% destroyed. <br />h) Electrical 100% destroyed. <br />6) Small Storage Room (Rear of Units) <br />a) Fire damaged. <br />b) Interior completely destroyed. <br />c) Roof structurally deteriorated. <br />d) Strength of concrete walls is questionable. <br />Ester L.
