Commissioner Lyons reported that he had someone who had <br />agreed to be the architect, but has since declined. He <br />noted that although he did not recommend Charles Block for <br />this appointment, he would have no objections. <br />Commissioner Wodtke informed the Board that the <br />businessperson he has come up with is Calphrey Streetman, <br />who is involved in the production of citrus. He noted that <br />he had not been aware that Mr. Morrison was interested, and <br />Commissioner Lyons commented that he had asked the Civic <br />Association if they had a candidate for any of the <br />categories. <br />Chairman Bird reported that for the Engineer, he would <br />submit the name of James Young, Jr., who is with Beindorf & <br />Associates. <br />In discussion, it was noted that both Mr. LaBar and Mr. <br />Young are engineers and it was thought possibly they could <br />be considered sub -contractors. <br />Commissioner Lyons stated that he would like to get <br />Mrs. Craven on as an at -large member. He believed it would <br />be good to have a woman on the board. <br />CommAssioner Scurlock reported that he has a resume for <br />Joseph Garone for the category of General Contractor. <br />Chairman Bird,�nformed the Board that the Board of <br />Realtors has recommended Marie Byrd. <br />In further discussion, it was noted that we have <br />received a number of letters in regard to a representative <br />from organized labor. It was felt that Robert Knight could <br />fill that position. <br />Commissioner Scurlock stated that he still had a <br />concern about the Board of Realtors, which is an organized <br />club, making a recommendation unless we include all the <br />various club groups.
