The Commissioners requested the Utilities Department to <br />estimate the costs involved. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Lyons, the <br />Board unanimously authorized the County <br />Administrator and staff to work with the <br />Humane Society to come up with a definitive <br />plan and solutions to present to the <br />• f <br />` Commission. <br />REQUEST FOR FINAL PAYMENT - COUNTY JAIL ELECTRICAL <br />IMPROVEMENTS <br />The Board reviewed the following memo -dated 3/28/83: <br />TO: THE HONORABLE MEMBERS OF THE DATE: March 28, 1983 FILE: <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />THROUGH: Michael Wright, County Administrator <br />SUBJECT: Request for Final Payment - IRC Project#81 <br />County Jail- Improvements- Division V - <br />Electrical- Paul White Electric, Inc <br />FROM: James W. Davis, P.E. C�A REFERENCES: <br />Public Works Director <br />DESCRIPTIONS AND CONDITIONS <br />Indian River County and Paul White Electric, Inc., entered into an agreement <br />on July 12, 1982 for lighting and miscellaneous electrical work at the County Jail. <br />The cost of the original contract work and two minor change orders approved by the <br />Board totaled $23,837.40. The notice -to -proceed was issued for work to begin July <br />19, 1982, and work was to be completed on or before August 18, 1982. After the <br />special security light fixtures were ordered by the contractor, the manufacturer <br />informed Paul White Electric, Inc.., that delivery could not be scheduled until <br />March 1983. <br />Installation was completed, March 21, 1983. The materials supplied and work <br />performed does meet the contract requirements. The Jail Administrator, Jail Main- <br />tenance Foreman, Architect John Calmes, The Public Works Director, and Building <br />Maintenance Supervisor have all inspected the work and have no objections to final <br />payment. <br />44 soot 53 PAk56 <br />APR 61993 - <br />
