Commissioner Scurlock noted that State law is requiring <br />the air ambulance service to get this certificate of need <br />from each county, and whether they enforce it or not, and <br />whether this is a well written law or not, it is the law <br />until it is changed. He questioned how we can say there is <br />not a need when the.State says otherwise. <br />ON MOTION MADE by Commissioner Wodtke, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Lyons, Commissioners Scurlock <br />and Bowman voted in opposition, the Board by a 3 <br />to 2 vote, denied the request of Flight Nursing, <br />Inc., for a Certificate of Need due to the fact <br />that there has been no information presented, <br />either in writing or by appearance of a represen- <br />tative of Flight Nursing, indicating that the <br />needs of Indian River County are not being met by <br />our current service. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously <br />authorized the Chairman to write our Legislative <br />Delegation and ask that the requirement for <br />a Certificate of Need for air ambulance <br />-services extend only to those counties in which <br />the service is based or has a branch office. <br />COMPUTER SYSTEM FOR STATE ATTORNEY <br />The Board reviewed the following letter from State <br />Attorney Robert Stone: <br />55 80", 53 pA�� <br />
