MAY 18 1983 <br />required material, pay the fee for documents, and pay for a <br />bond. <br />Attorney Brandenburg advised the Board that on jobs of <br />$25,000 or less, they have the authority to waive a <br />performance bond. <br />Mr. Davis reported that they advertised several times <br />and mailed out 60 letters notifying firms. He felt perhaps <br />they did not receive more bids because of the necessity of <br />complying with DNR requirements. <br />In further discussion the importance of starting <br />construction as required by the DNR was stressed. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Scurlock, the <br />Board unanimously accepted the bid from <br />Walker Construction, Inc. in the amount of <br />$106,533 for Division I - Buildings &,Bite <br />Work for Tracking Station Recreational Area, <br />as recommended. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Bowman, the Board <br />authorized the rebidding Division III - <br />Landscaping - for Tracking Station Recreational <br />Area and agreed to waive bond requirements. <br />42 <br />
