RESOLUTION NO. 99- 02 <br />1/29/98(resolsIgnatures)J8 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, <br />DIRECTING COUNTY DEPOSITORIES TO HONOR <br />CERTAIN AUTHORIZED SIGNATURES ON COUNTY <br />WARRANTS AND OTHER ORDERS FOR PAYMENT. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County on <br />January 5, 1999, held an election for the offices of Chairman and Vice Chairman of the <br />Board of County Commissioners; and <br />WHEREAS, the County Commission did nominate and select as Chairman <br />Kenneth R. Macht, and as Vice Chairman Fran B. Adams; and <br />WHEREAS, Jeffrey K. Barton was elected Clerk of the Circuit Court of Indian <br />River County effective December 31, 1988, also serves as a Clerk to the Board of <br />County Commissioners, pursuant to Section 125.167, Florida Statutes; and <br />WHEREAS, it is now necessary to reinstruct the County's depositories as to the <br />signatures necessary to honor County warrants, checks, or other orders for the payment <br />of money drawn in the Commission's name, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that: <br />1. The County Commission has in the past designated certain institutions as official <br />depositories of County funds, and such designations are hereby ratified and <br />affirmed. <br />2. Each designated depository of the Commission is hereby requested, authorized, and <br />directed to honor checks, warrants, or other orders for payment of money drawn in <br />the Commission's name, including those payable to the individual orders of any <br />person or persons whose name or names appear thereon, when bearing the <br />facsimile signature of the Clerk of the Circuit Court, when said check, warrants, or <br />other orders for the payment of money equals or does not exceed the sum of three <br />thousand dollars ($3,000). <br />3. If a check, warrant, or other orders for the payment of money drawn in the <br />Commission's name exceeds the sum of three thousand dollars ($3,000), said <br />designated depositories are authorized and directed to honor checks, warrants, or <br />other orders for payment of money drawn in the Commission's name, only when <br />such check, warrant, or other orders for payment of money bears the facsimile <br />signature of the Chairman and Clerk of the Circuit Court and further bears the <br />original signature of either the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Clerk of the Circuit .Court, <br />or Deputy Clerk, listed below.
