JUN 1 1993� <br />Mr. King noted that he did not believe the Chairman of <br />the Management Committee would accept any kind of Motion <br />from the floor, but stated that if the Board wished, he, as <br />a committee member, would be glad to make any Motion they <br />desired. <br />Attorney Brandenburg suggested that a copy of the <br />Motion just adopted indicating their position be submitted <br />to the Committee through the County's representatives. <br />Discussion followed on the City's intent to go to the <br />meeting and lobby, and the feeling that discussion from the <br />floor, if allowed, will undoubtedly be limited. <br />It was asked where Martin County stands, and Mr. King <br />believed that they are going to be pretty much for the <br />growth management plan in its entirety and that they want <br />to tighten up the plan not weaken it. <br />Chairman Bird announced he would attend the meeting <br />tomorrow and see that our position is presented. <br />REPORT OF MENTAL HEALTH 4 -COUNTY STUDY COMMITTEE <br />Commissioner Wodtke gave an update on the four -county <br />Mental Health Study Committee which was formed for the <br />specific purpose of studying whatever District Plan is to be <br />submitted to the County Commissions for approval for the <br />coming year. <br />He explained that at the initial meeting last week he <br />had the opportunity -to get an overview of what they think <br />the District Plan is going to be. That was done by the <br />_Mental Health Center staff, Mr. Ashcraft and his staff. <br />At that meeting it was reported that the plan is <br />basically approved by the District and there have been two <br />drafts of the plan since approval. There was some <br />discussion by the Board that the plan had been sent to <br />Tallahassee and approved; however, Tallahassee does not <br />approve the plan, it only comments on the plan and sends <br />38 <br />
