Box 1389 <br />Vero Beach, FL 32960 <br />Dear Mayor Neuberger: <br />The Board of County Commissioners unanimously approved and forwarded to the governor <br />Resolution Number 99-92 on September 21, 1999. This resolution requests that the Florida <br />Department of Transportation expedite the 4-laning of SR 60 from 1-95 to the Florida Turnpike in <br />order to improve evacuation time and enhance evacuation safety for residents ofeast central Florida. <br />Recently many of our residents faced severe traffic congestion in this corridor when ordered to <br />evacuate due to Hurricane Floyd. We are requesting that all municipalities of Indian River County <br />show their support by submitting a similar resolution to Mr. Walter Revell.
