AMENDMENT TO PERSONNEL RULES & REGULATIONS RE VACATION LEAVE <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 6/7/83:' <br />TO: The Honorable Members of DATE: June 7, 1983 FILE: Agenda <br />the Board of County Commissioners June 15, 1982 <br />THRU: C. Hardin, Jr., Ph.D. SUBJECTVacation Leave <br />: <br />Assistant to the Administrator/ Amendment to Personnel Rules <br />General Services Director and Regulations <br />FROM: tjois oder REFERENCES: <br />Personnel Manager <br />It is recommended that the data herein be given formal <br />consideration by the County Commission. <br />AMENDMENT - Section 6, Paragraph 6.01-A <br />Permanent employees who have been in the active full <br />time employment of the County shall be eligible for <br />vacation in accordance with the following schedule. <br />Continuous Employment Vacation Leave Credit <br />After 6 months 5 -Working Days <br />After 1 year 5 Working Days <br />In order to be eligible for vacation after 6 months <br />continuous employment, employee must not have been <br />absent from work more than five (5) days. <br />Administrator Wright explained that this is a minor <br />change that allows an employee to take annual leave after <br />six months rather than the present requirement of one year. <br />The County is not really giving any extra time, we are just <br />allowing vacation time to be used at an earlier point of <br />time. He advised that from a scheduling and management <br />standpoint, the change would be most helpful. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Lyons, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Bowman, that the <br />Board approve staff recommendation to <br />change the personnel rule as explained <br />above. <br />43 <br />
