MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Scurlock, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Lyons, that the <br />Board award Bid #171 to the low bidder, <br />Taylor Munnell, in the amount of $11,625 <br />for a Mitsubishi MT -180 -HD with a Schwartz <br />Bucket and a Woods Backhoe; funds to come <br />from Account #004-214-541-6643. <br />In discussion, Commissioner Wodtke asked if there was <br />any particular reason why we received only two bids and <br />Director Davis explained that this piece of equipment is not <br />manufactured by a great number of companies due to its <br />specialized nature. <br />It was pointed out that the mini -backhoe was a <br />Japanese make and that neither Florida Tractor Kelly Tractor <br />makes a similar backhoe.
