Barton <br />Re: 16th Street Project <br />The following budget amendment is necessary to budget funds for State draw downs for <br />the 16th Street Project from the State Board of Administration <br />Account Title - Account No. <br />2nd Gas Tax 307-000-335-42.00 <br />Engineering Sery 307-214-541-35-39— <br />Land 307-214-541.-66.11--- <br />Other <br />07-214-541-66.11-rOther Rd Materials/Supplies 307-214-541-35.39 <br />Reserve for Contingencies 307-199-513-99.91'" <br />Increase Decrease <br />2,346,883 <br />32,000 <br />58,785 <br />2,156,098 <br />100,000 <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Scurlock, the <br />Board unanimously awarded the bid to <br />Dickerson, Inc. in the amount of <br />$2,156,097.31 for the 16th St. traffic <br />and pedestrian improvements, authorized <br />the Chairman to sign the agreement with <br />Dickerson, and approved the above budget <br />amendment, as recommended by Finance Director <br />Barton. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Lyons, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Scurlock, that <br />the Board approve staff recommendations <br />2, 3, & 4, as amended by Public Works <br />Director Davis. <br />In the following discussion, it was pointed out that <br />the contractor has indicated that work will begin very soon <br />and does not see any problem with construction going on when <br />school resumes in late August as traffic will be rerouted <br />with temporary signalization.
