all applicable property taxes <br />housing units according to the <br />The IRCLHAProgram and all eligible sponsors shall not <br />discriminate in the IRCLHAProgram application and award <br />process on the basis of race, creed, religion, color, age, <br />sex, sexual preference, marital status, familial status, <br />national origin, or handicap. <br />10. Recycled/Repaid Funds for the Indian River County Local <br />Housing Assistance Trust Fund (IRCLHATF) <br />All funds repaid to the IRCLHATF shall be recycled for re -use <br />by the IRCLHAProgram. The funds repaid shall be added to the <br />existing balance of the IRCLHATF and redistributed for use <br />through the IRCLHAProgram. <br />11. Support Services for Eligible Recipients <br />The IRCLHAProgram will not provide funding for support <br />services such as tenant counseling, adult/child care, or <br />transportation assistance for eligible recipients. The <br />IRCLHAProgram may provide financial assistance for the <br />provision of homeownership counseling activities for eligible <br />recipients and potential eligible recipients of the <br />IRCLHAProgram. The IRCLHAProgram may encourage the provision <br />of any of the previously described support services by private <br />or public, profit or not-for-profit organizations, while <br />providing technical assistance for the provision of such <br />support services. All applicants requesting <br />downpayment/closing cost assistance must attend the <br />Homebuyers' Educational Program provided through the local <br />lending consortium and/or Consumer Credit Counseling Service. <br />12. Indian River County Affordable Housing Partnership <br />Indian River County has formed an Affordable Housing <br />Partnership Committee (Lenders Committee). The SHIP <br />affordable housing partnership committee is composed of <br />representatives from financial institutions, non-profit <br />housing organizations, builders, contractors, real estate <br />agents, and county staff. Because of its members' <br />knowledge of and expertise with the housing industry, the <br />SHIP affordable housing partnership committee has <br />functioned as an advisory committee to both the <br />Affordable Housing Advisory Committee (AHAC) and staff. <br />The county has leveraged SHIP funds by providing <br />downpayment/closing costs while financial institutions or <br />Habitat for Humanity provide first mortgages. <br />12 <br />
