lr1 <br />.24 fttia <br />/9 9. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 99-35 <br />A RESOLUTION OF BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, OPPOSING STATE LEGISLATION <br />THAT WOULD CUT REVENUE SHARING TO <br />FLORIDA COUNTIES <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County has received revenue sharing from the State of Florida on <br />a historical basis; and <br />WHEREAS, recent cuts of revenue sharing will provide an immediate financial burden to <br />Indian River County; and <br />WHEREAS, the County may be forced to cut services and raise taxes if growth in the county <br />tax base does not meet this deficit. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that the County is opposed to the <br />significant intangible tax cut and would encourage the Florida Legislature to hold Florida counties <br />harmless, and support the Governor's version. <br />The Resolution was moved by Commissioner Ginn, and seconded by Commissioner Adams, <br />and upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: <br />1999. <br />Chairman Kenneth R.
