NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of <br />Indian River County, Florida, this 16th day of October 1999, that <br />1. Hurricane Irene poses a serious threat to the lives and property of <br />residents of Indian River County and that a State of Local Emergency <br />shall be declared, effective immediately, for all of Indian River County, <br />including, all unincorporated and incorporated areas. <br />2. The Board of County Commissioners hereby exercises its authority and <br />waives the procedures and formalities required by law of a political <br />subdivision, as provided in Chapter 252.38(6)(e), Florida Statutes. <br />The resolution was moved for adoption by Commissioner * s e e b e 1 o w and the motion <br />was seconded by Commissioner * s e e b e 10 w, and, upon being put to a vote, the vote <br />was as follows: <br />Chairman <br />Vice -Chairman <br />Commissioner <br />Commissioner <br />Commissioner <br />Kenneth R.
